What We're Doing for the Environment:

1. Allergies: We do not allow pets as this is a major contributor to airborne particles that reside in carpets, drapes and bedding.

2. Bulk Soap and Amenities: We supply soap from a bulk soap dispenser in all of our public restrooms areas, staff break areas and kitchen. This approach saves time and money for our properties and natural resources and landfill contributions by cutting down on packaging.

3. Cotton Towels and Linens: We use all cotton products. They do not add VOC’s to the air, thus helping air quality in all guestrooms.

4. Donating to Charity: We either sell back or donate all of our old linens, towels, table linens, furniture, window coverings, bedspreads, etc. that are no longer useable or useful to our property. Selling or donating items to others is a great way to have the goods reused and out of landfills.

5. Durable Service Items: We use dishes, cups, glasses, mugs, tableware and serving pieces that are long-lasting, not disposable.

6. Guestroom Recycle Bins: We will institute by the end of the 3rd Quarter 2008 special containers placed in each guest room so that our guests are not only educated but are also encouraged to recycle their plastics. This approach will teach our guests about the ease and benefit of recycling.

7. Sheet/Towel Re-Use Program: This is our way of reducing the water and energy consumption involved in washing sheets daily. A card is placed in every guest room asking the guest to make the choice of daily cleaning of sheets and replacing used towels.

8. Paper Recycling: We re-use paper in every office in our hotel to conserve paper usage.
