Parking

On-street Parking

Parking is prohibited in the parade marshaling areas and on the parade route. Parking meters in these areas will be bagged the night before. Vehicles in prohibited areas will be towed beginning 6 a.m.

Available on-street, metered parking will be free all day Saturday the 17th.

Savannah International Trade and Convention Center
Avoid the stress of trying to find a parking spot downtown and park across the river at the convention center. The parking fee is $10. (Hours of parking lot to come)

 The Savannah Belles Ferry will be in operation starting at 7 a.m. from the trade center to River Street - City Hall and Marriott dock. (End time of ferry service to come.)
 
Visitor Information Center Lot
Open for parking at 6 a.m. on Saturday, March 17th. Limited RV parking available. (Fee information to come.)

Parking Garages

The following parking garages will be open 24 hours on March 16 and March 17:

Getting Around

CAT Bus/Shuttle Schedule

Chatham Area Transit (CAT) will provide a St. Patrick’s Day shuttle on March 17 from 8 - 11 a.m. from the following locations:

  • Westside at the Westside Shopping Center on Hwy 80 in Garden City
  • Eastside at the Island Towne Centre on Whitemarsh Island
  • Southside at the Savannah Mall near the carousel in the rear

Parade patrons may park their cars at these locations and ride the shuttles into downtown Savannah. The shuttles will begin return trips from the parade in downtown Savannah from Noon - 3 p.m.

After 3 p.m., shuttle patrons can return to their cars via CAT’s fixed routes:

  • The 3A and 3B routes will return within a block of the Westside Shopping Center so you would have to walk that block
  • The 10 East Savannah route will return to the Island Towne Centre
  • The 114 Abercorn will return to the Savannah Mall

Cost: $3 day pass provides a ride to the parade and a return trip.

Pedicabs
You can call Savannah Pedicab drivers between the hours of 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on parade day at 912-232-7900. After 3 p.m. you won't be able to reach them by phone so if you see one, flag them down. They will be out on the streets until about 4 a.m. Savannah Pedicab's service area stretches from Bay Street (with access to River Street via Elevator) to Park Avenue just south of Forsyth Park and west from Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.(including the Railroad Museum) to East Broad Street. Savannah Pedicab Company will be operating as normal the days surrounding St. Patrick's Day. For more info, visit their website.

Ferry
The Savannah Belles Ferry will begin operating between 7 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Service will be available from the Savannah International Trade & Convention Center and the Savannah City Hall Landing only.

After 4:30 PM, normal scheduling will resume to include the Marriott Savannah Riverfront’s pier. Service will be available until midnight. Trade Center parking is $10.
