Each year individuals and organizations from diverse fields with expertise managing global issues meet in Savannah, Georgia.
Ten world class solutions are presented on four new topic areas.
Attendees provide insight and guidance to presenters. The Ambassadors Award (a financial award) is given to the best solution presented.
The Savannah Ocean Experience is the public aspect of The Exchange. All are invited to renew body, soul and mind by experiencing our Coast and Ocean.
Savannah Coastal Cuisine – Participating restaurants offer uniquely delicious wild caught shrimp dishes at special Experience prices
Public Lecture Series – Internationally recognized research scientists share latest Ocean findings at Jepson Museum for the Arts; free admission; check for dates and times
Boat Building – Adults and kids build models and full scale boats; registration fee required at Ships of the Sea Museum
Field Excursions – Knowledgeable, personable experts safely guide you while exploring our Ocean and Coast; registration fee required; check for special offerings of participating businesses
Music – Local and guest musicians play sea shanties and Ocean inspired music; check for times and locations; free admission
Art – Participating galleries display Ocean inspired art in various mediums; check for gallery locations; free admission
Ships on the River Front – Watch ships from around the world move up and down Savannah River; visit research vessels of academic institutions and state and federal governments; free admission
Local Attractions – Museums, Forts and Tybee Lighthouse offer special admission rates during Savannah Ocean Exchange Experience
Ocean Film Festival – September 17 – 19 only; view Ocean themed films and documentaries; Gray’s Reef Ocean Film Festival offers films for all ages at Trustees Theater; free admission; check for times
